By labeling Gabriel a “radical Islamophobe,” Deborah Solomon (Aug. 17) seems to be saying that any opposition to Islamic fundamentalism is by definition irrational or a sign of prejudice despite the fact that Gabriel in her speeches goes out of her way to differentiate between Islamic extremists and moderates. And does Solomon really believe that anyone who speaks out against Islamic fundamentalism must be an agent of the C.I.A.?.
